Taren Point is a diverse suburb containing residential, commercial and industrial regions, 24km from the CBD. Located adjacent to Captain Cook Bridge, residents can quickly access Sans Souci and the St George area, roughly a 30 minute car trip into the CBD.

Taren Point is well known for its commercial expansions, including Harvey Norman, Flower Power, Bunnings Warehouse and Officeworks, in addition to a large number of fast food restaurants and sizeable light industrial area, housing an array of businesses.

Taren Point has a number of sporting associations, including touch football and baseball, plus a public school located on Taren Point Road. The Taren Point Bowling Club is highly regarded, while the recently renovated Taren Point Hotel is a beautiful place for a meal or catch up over drinks and offers regular live bands and entertainment.

Taren Point is largely occupied by modern water front and and water view properties capturing gorgeous vistas of the Georges River. The majority of properties are traditional single and double story free standing brick homes, while residents of Taren Point are typically older couples and families.
